Baltazar Aroso has a degree in Architecture from the Oporto Lusíada University and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Management from EGP - University of Porto Business School. Joins the doctoral course at the Valladolid University where he acquires the title of researcher with the thesis “Reflections on the Importance of Image in Architecture” and under which he develops the thesis with the title “The Epidermal Metamorphosis of Architecture” directed by Professor Dr Miguel Angel de la Iglesia. Professionally, his career began in 1982 in the office of Eng. Barbosa Lourenço and, at the same time, he participated in several works with architects António Riobom and Fernando Rocha. In 1984 he collaborated with Arch. Adão da Fonseca, Eng. Adão da Fonseca and Eng. Rui Furtado. In 1986 he collaborated with Engineers José Lameiras and João Abreu Lima at Tecnopor. In 1988 he joined AR - Arquitectos Reunidos, Lda where he participated in the development of several architectural projects together with the architects Miguel Guedes de Carvalho, Manuel Moreda and Jorge Gonçalves. In 1994 he founded URBIMAGEM, Lda where he is currently executive director. Between 2001 and 2003 he taught at CIFOTIE - International Training Center for Industry and Energy Workers. In 2004 he founded the studio B(A)ª Balthazar Aroso architects where he works as coordinator and executive director and, in 2012, he is co-founder and executive director of the publisher Original Spark - Digital Media, Lda.
